Curtis Day is the proud owner of Sit Means Sit Casper, Wyoming, a franchise he and his wife, Danee, purchased in 2018 when the opportunity arose. With firsthand experience having two of their own dogs trained through Sit Means Sit, along with running a successful dog boarding facility in Casper, joining the Sit Means Sit team was a seamless and natural next step for Curtis.
Curtis and Danee are proud dog parents to four pups: Sindri, a Dutch Shepherd; Sieben, a Yellow Lab; and Derby and Ellie, both Black Labs. Curtis’s lifelong passion for dogs fuels his dedication to helping owners build stronger, more positive relationships with their pets through effective training.
A committed lifelong learner, Curtis actively pursues continuing education to stay up-to-date on the latest dog training techniques. He is certified as an AKC evaluator, a K-9 Caring Angels Therapy Dog evaluator, and a Pet Tech CPR Instructor.
Curtis and Sindri have also discovered a shared passion for dock diving, where they’ve become an impressive duo. Sindri qualified for regionals at her very first event, jumping an incredible 3 feet beyond the average for her breed. Together, they continue to excel in everything they pursue.
Danee’s love for animals started at an early age. She joined 4-H at just six years old and later became active in FFA during her freshman year of high school. Throughout her time in these organizations, Danee raised rabbits, poultry, and beef, further deepening her connection with animals.
In 2012, Danee and Curtis welcomed two black Lab littermates, Derby and Ellie, who were trained through their local Sit Means Sit program. When the opportunity to purchase the franchise arose in 2018, the couple jumped in. At the time, Danee was still working full-time as a Radiology Technologist. By 2019, she transitioned out of healthcare to take on the role of full-time office manager at both Sit Means Sit Casper and K-9 Corral.
Danee is one of only two K-9 Caring Angels Therapy Dog evaluators in the area and holds certification in Pet CPR and First Aid.
Danee and Curtis are also proud parents of two young children. In their free time, the family enjoys camping and taking trips to destinations like Denver and Rapid City.
Chelsea began her dog training journey in Casper, Wyoming in 2018 and became a proud member of the Sit Means Sit Dog Training family in May 2022. Born and raised in Wyoming, Chelsea has never known life without a dog by her side, and that lifelong bond has fueled her passion for helping others build strong relationships with their pets.
Chelsea enjoys spending her free time fishing, hiking, camping, and swimming with her fiancé, Steven, and their four beloved dogs. Lyric, an APBT mix, is her first dog and the reason she fell in love with dog training. She also shares her life with Nala and Odin, APBT littermates, and their newest addition, Gantu, a playful black Lab.
Each of her dogs has a unique personality. Odin is always ready for a game of fetch or a swim, while Nala loves coming to work with Chelsea, dock diving, and learning new skills alongside her handler.
Chelsea is excited about exploring new dog sports with her pups and continuing to enjoy Wyoming’s breathtaking landscapes with her family by her side.
Alexys has always had a deep passion for animals. She began riding horses at the age of 8 and has had at least two dogs in her life for as long as she can remember. In 2020, her dog Tommy was enrolled in Sit Means Sit Dog Training, marking the beginning of her connection with the program.
A few years later, Alexys enrolled her Great Dane puppy, Maus, in training. Thanks to her dedication and hard work, the pair successfully passed their therapy dog certification. Her commitment and progress as a client caught the attention of the team, and she was soon offered a position as a kennel technician at K-9 Corral. Over time, Alexys worked her way up, and now she and Maus can often be found together in the training room, continuing their journey side by side.
In their free time, Alexys and Maus enjoy long walks, playtime with friends—both two-legged and four—and simply spending quality time together.
